Your Identity, Transcendent

Forgive the stupid image. I was in a hurry to write this.

What you do online is as defining as what you do in real life. This wasn’t always the case, perhaps not even a year ago, but I’m telling you now, it is. If you do something or say something online people are going to take that thing and amalgamate it with their preexisting perception of who you are; and unless you can do a series of things that cleverly—or at least directly—rescind or transform that thing, it will likely stick with you.

So when you use certain platforms and methods to take care of certain situations, people who are watching—namely, everyone you know—will begin to think you are inappropriate or uninformed about the unchangeable fact that everyone else are watching. It will make you look stupid, naive and inexperienced.

This is a public service announcement that all should heed.
