I know a lot of people are down about losing their jobs and having bleak futures and all that jazz, but something I’ve begun to notice is that the longer we are in an economic crisis, the better the deals are going to get. So, for those of us who still have a little money to spend, let it rain!
On Monday I had a free burrito at Qdoba Mexican Grill after scooping up a coupon at the Sad Packer stunt on Friday. Yesterday, I went to Good Times on their dime after filling out a couple email addresses at SaveTheBurger.org. And today, thanks to Quiznos, I’m rocking a chicken carbonara for—you guessed it—zero dollars (click the image to get yours).
It’s a tough time. Things are bad—and they’re getting worse. I don’t know how long I’ll be able to hold onto this job regardless of the quality of work I do. But it’s reassuring to know that when and if I get canned, just like all the other hard-working individuals who have been in the past couple months, I’ll still be able to afford halfway decent food.
Viva la recession!
