People don’t think of hardcore as nostalgic, but I listened to this album last night and this morning and it got my memories flowing like snowmelt. The old days were so much different than today’s days. In-stores at the Java Cow with Fear Before and A Call to Arms; four shows in one month with Anatomy of a Ghost at Grandpa’s Music Box; Carly and Andra and Grace and being a strikeout kid; the party to end all parties; Dave stealing the picture of Westin out of my brother’s room; Adam and his shoe-cam; “Richie’s sister is hot”; and everything else. Sometimes I miss the old days.
