Jeter & Kelly Might Nail One Over the Fence
Blogs like ours are all about upholding a standard of authenticity and fact-checking; but sometimes we like to throw a curveball story containing unaccredited claims that may or may not be anywhere near the truth. That’s why we’ve chosen to cover this story about New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter marrying actress and Aerosmith offspring Minka Kelly. Professional gossipers have begun to field rumors that the pair, who have been dating for about a year, are planning to step up to the plate and get hitched sometime just after the Yankees lose in the first round of the playoffs.
While reps for Kelly have denied these rumors, we’re going to err on the side of the gossip rags’ dugout with this one. Of course, given Jeter’s propensity for rounding the bases with a handful of top prospects in innings past, we wouldn’t be surprised to see Minka on the trading block and Jeter a free agent by Hamptons party season—also known as spring training—next year.
