cor·us·cate
Pronunciation: \ˈkȯr-ə-ˌskāt, ˈkär-\
1 : to give off or reflect light in bright beams or flashes : sparkle
2 : to be brilliant or showy in technique or style
It used to feel like life was full of coruscating moments, but things have gotten a little dull lately. I feel like a ghost a lot of the time, just sort of floating through hallways and down streets in search of something intangible and unknown. Faces are dripping, Guassian smears; bodies a mess of bones and skin and bad tattoos. Nothing is with definition—I feel like a WHY? song.
So I’m going to leave. I’m going to pick up for a few days and spend some time under the cover of an army of colossal Manhattan high rises—art deco, international, gothic soldiers—searching for a reason to feel inspired again. I can count on coruscation there.
And when I come back, if those blurred faces don’t quickly come back into focus, I’ll leave again for good.
