About the Mirror
It’s not always so clean as to portray the most accurate images of ourselves that we believe it is. Self-awareness is more than a mirage, but less than an oasis. It’s a fickle nourishment—it leads us to fresh meat, boiled in contaminated water. It leads us to ironic misunderstandings that we have with ourselves.
The mirror has dirty spots that blur truth, and in the worst of times cracks that disrupt time. Its sense of strength is shaky and unsure; its sense of understanding is superficial. The mirror can see your eyes, but it can’t see behind them or within them.
The mirror is a liar.
